The Ultimate Ring Sizing Guide
Finding the perfect ring size is the key to ensuring your new jewelry is comfortable, secure, and ready to be worn every day. Because sizing can be a little tricky, we’ve put together this comprehensive guide to help you find your exact fit before you order!
1. Crucial Tips for a Perfect Fit
Before you start measuring, keep these golden rules of ring sizing in mind:
- Every Finger is Different: Your left ring finger and your right ring finger will likely have different sizes. Always measure the exact finger you plan to wear the ring on.
- The Knuckle Rule: A ring should slide onto your finger relatively easily, but it should require a little bit of a twist and a gentle pull to get over your knuckle when taking it off. If it slides right off without any resistance, it is too loose and risks falling off!
- Temperature Matters: Fingers expand in the heat and shrink in the cold. For the most accurate measurement, measure your fingers at the end of the day when they are at their largest and at room temperature.
- Band Width: If you are purchasing a wide-band ring (anything over 5mm thick), we recommend sizing up by a half size, as wide bands take up more space on the finger and can feel tighter.
2. Measure From Your Phone (Recommended)
Don't have a tape measure? The easiest and most accurate way to check your ring size at home is by downloading a free ring-sizing app to your smartphone. All you need is a ring that already fits you well.
Simply place your existing ring on your phone screen and adjust the digital circle until it perfectly matches the inside edge of your ring.
